This video helps students understand school closures. It's also a great example of how we can model language verbally and with AAC symbols. We say all the words aloud - but when we model with symbols, we use just the most important words. For new AAC users, we may only point to one word. As students learn the system, we start using more words that get to the heart of the message.
Note: This video has been purposely slowed down to allow students to process the auditory and visual information. This is also an opportunity to model or help students find the symbols on their AAC devices, and even practice phrases like "I get it!".
